Cable Braid Scarf Pattern

This pattern is not back from the test knitter yet. If you find a problem with any part of the pattern please let me know.

Cable Braids

2CF – Place 2 St on cble needle, hold in front, Knit 2, Knit 2 from cable needle

4CF – Place 4 st on cable needle, hold in front, knit 4, knit 4 from cable needle.

4CB – Place 4 st on cable needle, hold in back, knit 4, knit 4 from cable needle.

Cast on 30 stitches using Long tail.

Row 1 – Sl1, P4, PM, K2, PM, P2, PM, P4, PM, P4, PM, P4, PM, P2, PM, K2, PM, P5

On following rows slip all stitch markers. Stitch markers in 4 st cables are used to mark which cable line you are working.  As you come across a sticth marker in the middle of a cable cross just move the marker with the cable.

Row 2 – Sl1, 2CF, P2, K16, P2, 2CF, K1

Row 3 (and all odd rows) –Sl1, P4, K2, P16, K2, P5

Row 4 – Sl1, K4, P2, 4CF, 4CF, P2, K5

Row 6 – Sl1, C2F, P2, K16, P2, 2CF, K1

Row 8 – Sl1, K4, P2, K16, P2, K5

Row 10 – Sl1, C2F, P2, K4, C4B, K4, P2, C2F, K1

Row 12 – Sl1, 2CF, P2, K16, P2, 2CF, K1

Row 14 – Sl1, K4, P2, K16, P2, K5

Row 16 – Sl1, K4, P2, C4F, C4f, P2, K5

Row 18 – Sl1, K4, P2, K16, P2, K5

Row 20 – Sl1, K4, P2, K16, P2, K5

Row 22 – Sl1, 2CF, P2, K4, C4B, K4, P2, 2CF, K1

Row 24 – Sl1, K4, P2, K16, P2, K5

Row 26 – Sl1, 2CF, P2, K16, P2, 2CF, K5

Row 28 -Sl1, K4, P2, C4F, C4F, P2, K5

Row 30 – Sl1, 2CF, P2, K16, P2, 2CF, K5

Row 32 – Sl1, K4, P2, K16, P2, K5

Row 34 – Sl1, 2CF, P2, K4, C4B, K4, P2, 2CF, K5

Row 36 – Sl1, K4, P2, K16, P2, K5

 Repeat rows 4 – 27 unitl desired length.
