Happy Easter to all who celebrate. I’m having a hopping time right now. It seems that my focus on projects has the attention span of a twelve year old. I’m happy concentrating on what I want until I solve the puzzle. After I solve the puzzle, What’s next?.
This is what my knitting has been for the last week. I cast on for some socks, the Lace and Cable from Wendy. I love it. But as soon as I figured out the stitches, it can’t hold my attention. So I’m on Twitter & we’re talking about cables. And this 4 cable braid jumps into my head. I can’t make it go away. I must make it now. So I stash dive to make this. Find the perfect yarn, and start to work it out. I get it going, I’m making charts & writing the directions ( I’ll share it when it’s knit). Everything’s great till I figure out the repeat & have it charted.
Now, I need a shawl. Yeah Right. It has to be in yellow. Yellow like the sunshine that finally made it out of the clouds today. I know there’s yellow in the stash. A shawl that makes me feel like the sun is wrapped around my shoulders. That’s it. A Sun Shawl. Oooooh. It can look like the sun. Bright ball of fire, with rays peeking out. Yes! That’s what I want. I wish I could draw. Hey, Boo draws great. I wonder if I could get him to draw it out for me. But he’s not answering my texts. What is he busy? Just cause he’s in the Army doesn’t mean he shouldn’t drop everything when his MOM calls. Does it? ( How do I get the Army to realize this is important?)
Oh Well, At least I can start on that big ball in the center. That should take enough time to get someone to get what’s in my head onto paper.
I hope you get to enjoy your day. I’m knitting sunshine into mine.
